 Language Arts uses a weighted grade book. Language Arts consists of reading, spelling, english/writing, and SRC points.

Reading - Reading counts for 40% of the student's grade. This consists of daily assignments, selection tests, some writing and projects.

SRC points count for 20% of their Language Arts grade. SRC points are given when students read enough books to test and get 10 points every month. 

Spelling and English assignments each counts for 20% of their grade. Spelling and English consists of daily assignments, tests, writing and projects.

Extra Credit: Extra credit will be given to those students who put forth the effort. Extra credit can be from teacher given homework passes, reading log passes, and assignments that have bonus questions.
