I graduated Westmoore High School in Oklahoma City in 2000. I then attended Oklahoma State University and majored in Elementary Education. I graduated OKstate in 2004 with my degree. After ten years of teaching, I decided I wasn’t done with school and went back to obtain my Master’s degree. I graduated East Central University with a Master’s in Educational Leadership in 2016.
I currently hold a Bachelors degree in Elementary Education with certifications in Middle Level Math and Early Childhood education. I also hold a Master’s degree in Educational Leadership.
Each year I have the privilege of taking students on an adventure to make learning come to life. For the past three years we have visited Washington DC (twice) and New York City. I get to guide students in learning about our Nation’s history and culture as well as get to see them fall in love with learning.

I became a McAlester Buffalo in August of 2014. I began teaching 5th grade math at Parker Intermediate Center. I loved Parker, but decided that 7th and 8th graders were my favorite grades to teach. I started at Puterbaugh Middle School in August of 2015. When I came to Puterbaugh I taught STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering, Math). After a few years I decided to go back to my true passion, teaching Math.
I began my teaching career in 2004 at Mounds Elementary School, where I taught Kindergarten. After my first year in Kindergarten, I knew I was meant to teach older students. The next year I was hired at Quinton Elementary where I taught 6th, 7th, 8th, grade math as well as Algebra 1 and 12th grade video editing.
