Welcome to Algebra 1-Honors, Algebra 2, or Algebra 2-Honors at MHS.

We will be utilizing a web-based Curriculum (Big Ideas Learning 2024: my.Ada.math) for Algebra 1, Geometry and Algebra 2 at McAlester High School. You will have access to the curriculum via the Clever website (NO physical textbook). Schoology is where you can find day to day instructions for class. You may need a calculator at home, advisory, on the bus, etc. I strongly suggest the purchase of TI-30XS MultiView calculator @ $18. Your student will be taught how to use the TI N-Spire CX II graphing calculator and the TI-30XS MultiView scientific calculator in class. They will use both for all Module tests, Benchmark tests, Semester tests along with homework and activities practiced in the classroom. Your student is required to keep a Journal/Notes. The Journal will be graded 3 times per semester, they are for a test grades. It is important they record 2 pages of notes per lesson. Semester Test is worth 10% of Grade.

Please use your advisory time everyday to keep up with your grades, homework, missing tests, etc.
