Mr. Mark Price, Director of Bands was recently elected to serve as President of the Oklahoma Bandmasters Association for 2022-2023. This position is voted on by band directors from across the state. This year he will serve as President Elect.

Ms. Melissa Benjamin, MHS Art Teacher, recently presented an art lesson to educators from across the state during the 2022 Oklahoma Art Education Association fall conference in Stillwater. Ms. Benjamin also serves on the OAEA Board.

The McAlester Adult Learning Center recently received an award for obtaining the highest high school equivalence percentage by student population in 2022.
