MPS Thanks Joy Tribbey for Dedicated Service

Tonight, we extend our deepest gratitude to Mrs. Joy Tribbey for her eight years of dedicated service to McAlester Public Schools as a member of the Board of Education.
First elected in April 2018, Joy has faithfully served our students, staff, families, and community with integrity, compassion, and a commitment to educational excellence. During her tenure, she has helped guide our district through both challenges and celebrations, always keeping the best interests of our children at the heart of every decision.
As Board President, Joy's leadership and vision have left a lasting impact on our schools and the future of countless students. Her willingness to serve, listen, advocate, and lead has strengthened our district and helped move McAlester Public Schools forward.
At the Board of Education meeting this evening, the Board accepted Joy's resignation, effective July 13, 2026. While we will miss her presence and leadership, we are incredibly grateful for the time, energy, and passion she has invested in our district over the past eight years.
Please join us in thanking Mrs. Tribbey for her outstanding service and wishing her all the best in her future endeavors.
